Each lesson covers one tense: how it is formed, when to use it, and which verbs break the pattern. Read them in order or pick the tense you need.

  The -ar, -er and -ir classes, the six persons, the regular endings, and the irregulars you meet immediately.

  Finished actions in the past: the regular endings, choosing between preterite and imperfect, and the irregular stems.

• El imperfecto

  The imperfect

  Describing the past rather than narrating it: the -aba and -ía endings, and the only three irregular verbs in the tense.

• El futuro

  The future

  One set of endings on the whole infinitive, the twelve irregular stems, and the future that means probably.
